Detroit Harmony Instrument Donations

A core component of Detroit Harmony’s work is to ensure every Detroit student can obtain a high-quality instrument, and from October 14–November 16 we're amping up collection efforts with a metro-wide instrument drive! Throughout this period, drop off locations include: the DSO's Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center and Detroit Harmony Building (Detroit), A&G Central Music (Troy), and McCourt's Music (Troy). If you have a new or used instrument to donate, or you or your organization would like to assist with Detroit Harmony's instrument collection or other efforts please contact Erin Faryniarz, Detroit Harmony Partnerships & Services Coordinator at: efaryniarz@dso.org
*Please contact Erin to confirm drop-off time/location before planning a drop off.

Instrument Donor Receipt Form

The Instrument Donor Receipt form (linked above) is only necessary if you wish to receive a donation receipt from the DSO for your donation. If you do choose to complete the form, please leave it with the instrument at your drop-off site.

*For questions regarding a potential donation’s quality (for example, an instrument purchased online) or need, please contact Detroit Harmony staff before purchasing. No piano or organ donations are currently being accepted.

Detroit Harmony Instrument Distribution

Detroit Harmony has now collected over 3,200 instruments which have been refurbished and prepped for use. Donation is underway! If your organization is in need of instruments, please contact Damien Crutcher at dcrutcher@dso.org
