Chef
Are you an experienced and creative chef? Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit and clients of your own? Then you may be the right chef for our full-time seasonal opportunity overseeing every function of kitchen operations including but not limited to menu development, production, presentation, quality of food, cost controls, and training and development of employees. We are seeking an innovator to lead in the development of a new Paradise Lounge menu, and with internal and external event menus. The right candidate will also assist in developing the food and beverage operation for the concessions at concerts, internal and external events, and offerings in our Donor Lounge. Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops creative menus, catering packages, and quality assurance programs within the
F&B department.
Supervises and executes the production of all food items.
Maintains a clean and orderly kitchen to comply with State and local Health Department Regulations.
Actively participates in event operations to assure quality and consistency.
Maintains financial responsibility for the menu mix.
Assists in purchasing and inventory of all food and beverage goods.
Supervises, schedule, and train kitchen staff.
Establishes menu forecasts based on house counts, business forecast, previous experiences, etc.
Performs other activities that contribute to the overall effectiveness of team management.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years culinary experience as an executive chef or sous chef.
Knowledge of sanitation procedures and the ability to develop menus, recipes, and specialty items.
Strong organizational, communication and PC skills.
Strong supervisory, P&L and catering experience.
Thorough knowledge of food preparation and a high level of creativity.
Possess certification in Servsafe.
Must be flexible with scheduling, long hours standing and/or walking.
Must be available to work a minimum of three shifts per week including weekends and evenings.
Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and 25 pounds of force frequently and constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
