Maintenance III - PART TIME
Performs maintenance service and repairs of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine and electrical servicing. Performs a variety of tasks related to general maintenance and housekeeping.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, identifies and completes structural and cosmetic repairs to The Max M. Fisher Music Center and related properties. Remedies safety hazards in the facility and on the grounds, as assigned.
- Performs a variety of janitorial and housekeeping tasks as needed, both inside the facility and on the grounds.
- Sets up equipment/furnishings for events as needed. Transports materials throughout the facility as needed.
- Performs other duties and projects assigned.
THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION
Work Schedule:
Hours may be assigned using any combination of week and weekend hours. Hours will frequently be on the day shift, but may be assigned on any shift.
Position Qualifications:
High School graduate or G.E.D, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three years general maintenance and housekeeping experience within a commercial, public setting.
Must consistently and reliably demonstrate capability and good judgment with regard to procedures and safety measures in the areas of maintenance service and repairs of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine and electrical servicing, as well as housekeeping and janitorial functions.
Is expected to rely on instructions, pre-established guidelines, experience and judgment to perform the functions of the job. A certain degree of independent judgment and common sense based on experience is required.
